Through our grant programs, we are able to advance our mission and goals by supporting the work of other organizations. Below you will see our current grant opportunities.

The Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District’s Tualatin Watershed Improvement Grant (TWIG) program awards grants up to $5,000 for certain conservation-related projects that promote conservation within Washington County, Oregon. Successful project applications are those that demonstrate a clear public benefit in one or more of the following areas: habitat for pollinators, beneficial insects, or wildlife; native plantings; school and community gardens; and rainwater management.
Applications are accepted and reviewed quarterly. Submissions are due by January 15th, April 15th, July 15th, and October 15th. Projects are awarded on a competitive basis until funds are exhausted for the fiscal year. Projects funded by the TWIG program must be completed within 12 months. Funds are provided on a reimbursement basis.
Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, Native American tribes, government agencies, and for-profit organizations.

The Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District’s Tualatin River Environmental Enhancement (TREE) Grant Program awards grants up to $100,000 for projects that promote conservation within Washington County, Oregon. Successful project applications are those that demonstrate a clear public benefit in one or more of the following areas: water quality, water quantity, soil health and erosion, invasive species management, fish and wildlife habitat, and forest health.
The full application is due by August 15th. Depending on the amount of funding available after the August 15th grant cycle, we may run a second yearly cycle with a deadline of February 15th. This Statement of Interest form must be submitted at least 45 days prior to the grant deadline. Once your form is submitted, you will be connected with a conservation specialist at Tualatin SWCD who can provide technical input. You will be provided with a link to the full application after you have been paired with a staff member. Projects funded by the TREE program must be completed within 36 months. Funds are provided on a reimbursement basis.
